Role overview:
The Power BI Developer is a new key role within the Business Platforms Americas team. We are looking for a well-rounded Senior Power BI Developer expertise with knowledge of DAX, PowerBI, and data modeling techniques. You will help deliver leading-edge business analytics using the latest and greatest cutting-edge BI tools, such as cloud-based databases, self-service analytics and leading visualization tools enabling our aim to become a digital organization. This is a remote position reporting to Analytics and Reporting Manager.
Responsibilities
- You will collaborate with the BI Dev team members to Evaluate, develop BI semantic models and dashboards according to functional specifications
- You will deliver technical documentation capturing metric definitions, descriptions of techniques, parameters, business rules, and relationships
- You will establish row-level security on data and comprehend Power BI’s application security layer models.
- You will apply best practices of data modeling & dashboard design
- You will monitor Power BI Infrastructure and take steps to ensure efficient utilization
- You will work with partners to understand requirements and use cases to write and assign technical stories and tasks
- You will work with team to provide support for existing analytics and PowerBI reporting platforms
- You will Coach, mentor, and provide technical direction and training to other BI Consumers
- You will work with BI & Analytic teams to develop and establish BI road Map/Vision
- Experience designing high-quality models and dashboards using Power BI
- 7+ years of experience in Power BI Development
- 5 years’ experience using Power BI Desktop, DAX, Tabular Editor and related tools
- 2 years’ experience using Power BI Premium capacity administration
- 3+ years of experience in Data warehousing and Business Intelligence
- Experience with data modeling, administration, and visualization
- Knowledge of Data warehousing conceptions, Azure Cloud databases, ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) framework
- Familiarity with the Microsoft Fabric technologies including One Lake, Lakehouse and Data Factory
- Experience working with finance data
- Turn business requirements into technical solutions
- Database design skills, including an understanding of both normalized form and dimensional form databases.
- In-depth experience of data-warehousing strategies and techniques e.g., Kimble Data warehousing
- Experience in Cloud-based data integration tools like Azure Data Factory
- Experience in Azure DevOps or JIRA is a plus
- Familiarity with Agile development techniques and goals
The anticipated salary range for this position is $68,000 – $110,400. Actual salary will be based on a variety of factors including relevant experience, knowledge, skills and other factors permitted by law.
