Job Description

Brightspeed is currently looking for an IT Business Analyst to join our growing Service Assurance development team! In this role, you will report directly to the IT Manager of development. You will perform a variety of duties to support the business systems and process improvements, including software setup, user training and user support. You will work as a liaison among stakeholders to elicit, analyze and validate requirements for changes to business processes and systems. Come help us build the best and fastest fiber-optic network in America! 

As an IT Business Analyst, Service Assurance, your duties and responsibilities will include: 

  • Develop detailed requirements, process documentation, and solution design approaches that satisfy business needs for enterprise application initiatives 
  • Work with IT partners to translate those requirements into technical solutions 
  • Provide subject matter expertise to support business requirement definition, process design, implementation of processes 
  • Participate in production incident troubleshooting and solution approach design and recommendations 
  • Perform initial validation, support unit testing, and facilitate UAT as needed 
  • Assist in driving initiatives forward from the requirements to implementation 
  • Prioritizing initiatives based on business needs and requirements. 
  •  Act as a leader within our implementation teams, prioritizing product backlog, writing epics/stories, and tracking progress of in-flight efforts. 
  • Overseeing all stages of product creation including design and development
Qualifications

WHAT IT TAKES TO CATCH OUR EYE: 

  • 8 years or more of experience as a Systems or Business Analyst 
  • Fundamental analytical and conceptual thinking skills. 
  • Experience working with JIRA 
  • Experience running and assisting with Agile development 
  • Strong analytical and follow-up skills with ability to identify and resolve problems 
  • Experience working in a SDLC process driven organization 
  • Self-motivated and able to work well with minimal supervision or in a team environment; consult with team members and management as needed 
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; able to present clean, organized, and thorough information appropriate for intended audience 
  • Ability to shift priorities as work flow/volume dictates 

BONUS POINTS FOR: 

  • Experience as a Business Analyst or Subject Matter Expert in Telco systems 
  • Hands on experience in implementing and/or supporting various Telco networks 
  • Skills running projects as a Scrum Master 
  • Experience working as a Product Owner for a Business Organization
